Beautiful and fully complete original 1976 Japanese first pressing of Eagles' Hotel California, issued on Asylum Records under catalogue number P-10221Y. The Japanese P-10221Y edition is documented as the original 1976 domestic issue and is especially attractive when all of its loose accessories have survived together intact. This copy is fully complete with the original ¥2,500 OBI strip, original 4-page fold-out insert with Japanese liner notes, English and Japanese lyrics and band photographs, and the original large fold-out photographic poster supplied with the Japanese release. Complete P-10221Y copies with both the insert and poster are much more desirable than the many examples where one or both of these loose components have disappeared over the years, making this a highly collectible example for the serious enthusiast. Originally released in December 1976, Hotel California became one of the defining albums of 1970s American rock and marked Joe Walsh's first Eagles studio album, adding a harder guitar edge to the group's already highly polished songwriting and vocal harmonies. The album contains an extraordinary sequence of classics including "Hotel California," "New Kid in Town," "Life in the Fast Lane," "Victim of Love," "Wasted Time" and the epic closing track "The Last Resort."
