Early 19th century mahogany inlaid eight day longcase clock, 12" painted arch dial signed Farrington, Bristol, with a painted rolling sun/moon to the arch, Roman numeral chapter, pierced hands, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, with painted fruit to the spandrels, four pillar brass plate movement striking on a bell, within a traditional Bristol mahogany and boxwood inlaid case with a swan neck pediment and turned finial, waved crest and fluted columns, over a short door and plinth base, 82" high (with a pair of lead weights, pendulum and winding key) ** Farrington was a notable 19th century clockmaker based in Bristol who died around 1851 ** Ivory submission reference 9ZH1PSSF
