All auctions / Miscellaneous / École Française (c. 1970) - Lysistrata
- Oil on board. Hand-signed. - Look at them, Lysistrata, how they rise in weapons of flesh and edge, a furious and monolithic crowd, a pagan and post-Cucture? thíasos that rejects softness and silk to forge itself in the rounded geometry of resistance. There are no submissive matriarchs or languid courtesans here; they are women of all classes and none, a unique, militant caste of minds versed in broken planes and the sharp line, who have learned to use their own naked bodies as a shield and a declaration of total war against the phallocentric order. Look at the one on the left, with her icy gaze and clenched fist, a proletarian Athena ready to crush consensus; or the one in the center, who supports her child not as a peace offering, but as a banner of future insurrection, the fruit of a lineage that will know no masters. There are those who display tense muscle and broad backs, an impregnable rear guard before which any male siege will crash like water against a cliff. This is not a tragic chorus; it is a final assault, a sacred conspiracy of powerful forms and earthy colors that, in their combative nudity, have decided that peace is won only with the same overwhelming fury that the ancients reserved for war. - Unframed image dimensions: 73 x 93 cm In Montbaron Gallery, we are pleased to offer our clients an exclusive selection of artworks, all of them unique, original, and unrepeatable. Each piece in our gallery is the result of deep dedication, a creative vision, and masterful technique, characteristics that guarantee its authenticity. The works we sell are not industrial reproductions; they are pieces created individually by recognized artists, each with its own story and essence. Originality is the basis of our commitment to excellence and, therefore, every painting or sculpture that forms part of our collection is carefully selected to ensure its singularity. Purchasing a work from Montbaron Gallery means owning a one-of-a-kind piece, an investment in creativity and talent that over time will preserve its artistic and emotional value. We are proud to offer works that not only beautify spaces but also connect our clients with the richness of human expression through art that is most authentic. Thus, we guarantee that every work leaving our gallery is a unique piece in the world, with no replicas, and a showcase of the innovation and passion of the artists we work with. Some lots, due to their age and value, require an export permit issued by the Ministry of Culture. Although this is an administrative procedure, it is essential to ensure the work’s authenticity and free international circulation. Montbaron Gallery undertakes to offer its clients original, unique, and unrepeatable artworks, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of each piece in our collection. To ensure transparency and trust in every acquisition, we offer a digital Certificate of Guarantee, signed by a certified art historian. This certificate confirms that the acquired work has been authenticated by our specialists, who verify its authorship, origin, and condition. The Certificate of Guarantee includes full details about the piece, such as author, creation date, technique used, and dimensions. The digital Certificate of Guarantee will be issued upon the client's request, providing an official reference for the acquired piece. This document will be sent in digital format and will be signed by an art historian from our gallery, ensuring its validity and backing. We are committed to our clients’ satisfaction and trust, so any questions about authenticity or the condition of the work will be addressed professionally and diligently. To request your Certificate of Guarantee, please contact us through our usual channels. As experts in art logistics, Montbaron Gallery is committed to ensuring that each piece reaches its destination safely and in the best possible condition. To this end, we work with a network of professionals specialized in art transport, who guarantee maximum care throughout the process. It is important to note that the shipping cost prices shown in the listing are indicative and subject to modification depending on various circumstances, including market transport rate variations, changes in the delivery location, the size and weight of the work, and possible extraordinary circumstances such as fluctuations in fuel costs or adjustments in customs and import tariffs. The final shipping cost will be calculated precisely based on these factors, and the client will always be informed in advance before proceeding with the shipment. Our goal is to offer the best possible service, tailoring to each client’s needs and ensuring the artwork arrives quickly and safely, with no surprises. The frame shown in the previous images has been added to the work by a third party or the seller, so it is not an integral part of the object. This frame is provided at no additional cost so that, when the work arrives at your home, it can be exhibited immediately on your wall. Accordingly, no frame damage that does not affect the integrity of the work will be accepted as a valid reason to file a claim or request a cancellation.
