Edehlstal Rostfrei - Cutlery set (92) - Steel

Impressive 12-person stainless steel cutlery service “Edelstahl Rostfrei” – Central European production Extraordinary and rare 12-person cutlery service made in stainless steel Edelstahl Rostfrei, a German-origin technical designation indicating high-quality stainless steel. This is not a brand, but a qualitative specification typical of the best Central European productions (Germany/Austria) from the 1960s and 1970s, intended for high-end domestic use and catering. The service stands out for its sober and elegant lines, proper ergonomics, and the good weight of the steel, features that guarantee solidity, durability, and an excellent presence at the table. A coherent ensemble with the functional aesthetic of German design of the period, capable of dialoguing with both classic porcelains and modern equipment. ⸻ Composition of the service Table cutlery • 12 dinner forks • 12 dinner spoons • 12 dinner knives • 6 fish forks • 6 fish knives • 12 medium spoons • 10 dessert forks (two are missing) • 6 dessert spoons (two show a slight variation in shape, although belonging to the same service, as visible in the photographs) • 6 moka spoons Serving cutlery • 1 serving scoop • 2 salad serving pieces (spoon + spoon/fork) • 1 sugar shell spoon • 2 two-tine forks • 2 serving spoons • 2 serving spoons (for portions) (one large and one small) ⸻ Total number of pieces 92 total pieces A particularly high and uncommon total, which makes the service rare for completeness and difficult to reassemble today. ⸻ Origin Likely German or Central European production, dating from the 1960s to the 1970s. The quality of the steel and the inscription “Edelstahl Rostfrei” are typical of German-speaking manufactories specializing in long-lasting flatware. ⸻ Condition Good overall condition. Normal signs of wear consistent with the age of the set. Healthy stainless steel, free of corrosion. The slight differences between two dessert spoons are correctly noted and visible in the photographs.
