Didactic anatomical model of a cow – DIDACTA, Antwerp - 1930 Important veterinary anatomical model representing a cow, made in polychrome composite and mounted on its original wooden base. One side shows the external morphology of the bovine, while the other displays a detailed anatomical cross-section with skeleton, musculature and internal organs, the different elements being numbered for pedagogical purposes. Original label: “DIDACTA S.P.R.L. – Aug. Bossaerts 91, Eils – ANTWERP,” identifying a Belgian company of didactic equipment established in Antwerp. The base also bears an old handwritten inventory number “I.G. 13-03-070”, indicating its use within a collection or an educational institution. Belgium, mid-20th century. Used condition with craquelure, chips and losses of polychromy visible. Beautiful antique piece of veterinary and scientific education.
