Egmond Toledo – Vintage Dutch Guitar – Made in Holland – circa the 1950s/60s This characteristic Egmond Toledo is a vintage Dutch guitar from the well-known Toledo series by Egmond. The Toledo series was produced from the 1950s as an affordable guitar for starting musicians and grew into one of the most recognizable models from the Dutch manufacturer. The series remained in production until 1974. The earliest models were known as the Egmond 105-series; the 105/0 was later designated Toledo. The British version was sold under the name Rosetti 276. The Beatles connection This is perhaps the most charming story around the Toledo. George Harrison actually played on an Egmond Toledo. In 1956, when he was only 13 years old, Harrison began playing on an Egmond 105/0, the model that is also known as the early Toledo. In Great Britain, the same model was sold as the Rosetti 276. This was one of his first guitars.
