EGYPTIAN FAIENCE WEDJAT AMULET IN GOLD PENDANT

Late Period, ca. 664 - 332 BC. A faience wedjat amulet with the eye beneath a strongly arched brow, an extended cosmetic line and the characteristic lower markings. The amulet is set in a close-fitting hallmarked 18K gold mount conforming to its outline, with a plain flat back and a broad suspension loop above.
