Middle Kingdom, ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A gold swivel ring with a round-section hoop terminating in rounded finials bound with coiled wire. The steatite scarab revolves on a transverse pin, with a convex back divided by incised lines and a flat underside engraved with a symmetrical floral motif.
