Elegant Déco Style Pendant with Diamonds, From Our Workshop

Flames of sparkling diamonds blaze white. A large old-cut diamond occupies the center of the design. Flames burst from it - flames of light. They flicker upwards, flare out sideways and swirl downwards in curved arcs. Another diamond sparkles at the very top, forming the transition to the chain. This radiant arrangement thus becomes a fascinating pendant. Pendants like this were extremely popular in the Art Deco era. The social upheavals after the First World War brought new freedoms for women, and there was no going back to the old roles. New, short hairstyles, shorter dresses and sensual cosmetics defined the image of the modern woman. New types of jewellery, which picked up on the rhythm of jazz and the spirit of optimism of the time, became an indispensable accessory. Pendants on long, movable chains became fashionable highlights. This pendant was made in our workshop according to old designs. Featuring vintage diamonds and inspired by historical models, it impresses with fine details such as shadow gaps and millegrains. The central diamond is a vintage brilliant-cut diamond from the 1960s with 0.28 ct in brilliant white (Wesselton, H) and only a few small inclusions (si). The pendant itself is made of white gold and has also been rhodium-plated on the front, giving it a particularly radiant white glow. The matching, delicate chain comes from a Pforzheim manufactory and is also made from high-carat white gold. An additional eyelet allows it to be worn in two different lengths. Special emphasis was placed on sustainability when manufacturing the pendant: The white gold used comes from recycled pieces of jewelry, and the diamonds were also recovered from older pieces. We discovered them here in Berlin, where they now shine once again in all their glory - like the stars above the Kurfürstendamm.
