Elgin National Watch Co. Gold Filled Pocket Watch and Chain

Elgin National Watch Company pocket watch, circa 1912, featuring a gold-filled open face case and a manual wind movement. The cream-toned dial is configured with the winding crown at the 12 o'clock position and Roman numeral hour markers. The dial features a sunken sub-seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position, a railroad-style outer minute track, and blued steel hands, marked ELGIN. The movement is decorated with damaskeening and is engraved with 16926696, ELGIN U.S.A., and 15 JEWELS. The interior of the case back is stamped ILLINOIS WATCH CASE CO. ELGIN U.S.A. GUARANTEED COMMANDER 25 YEARS and numbered 2420681. Accompanied by a gold-filled link chain with decorative rectangular bars, stamped 1/10 14K GOLD FILLED.
