Elías Garralda Alzugaray (1926-2012) - Beyond the Summit (Camì de l'Artiga

- Oil on canvas. Original canvas. Signed on the back, with geographic identification. - The Navarre painter Elias Garralda (Lesaca, 1926 – Olot, 2012) embodies the landscape mastery of the famous School of Olot, distinguished by his extraordinary ability to capture the atmosphere and the clear northern light of the Iberian peninsula. Trained in Barcelona and closely linked to the Catalan tradition, Garralda turned the Pyrenean valleys, the lush forests of Garrotxa, and the high peaks into the main protagonists of his work, characterized by a loose brushwork with an Impressionist root, a refined command of cool chromatic ranges, and a marked poetic sensibility. Far from artifice, his compositions convey a serene sobriety and a deep contemplation of nature, establishing him as one of the most respected and sought-after landscape painters on the Spanish figurative scene of the second half of the 20th century. - Image dimensions without frame: 130 x 100 cm / 152 x 122 cm with exclusive bespoke frame.
