Emerald Ring / new- 2.36 g - (1)

Emerald ring / new Set in 925 sterling silver Weight: 2.36 g 7.2 mm x 5.6 mm Ring size: U 57 UK P 1/2 US 8.0 Fr 17 Inner diameter: 18.1 mm New and unworn Emerald is a dark to light green variety of the silicate mineral beryl with the chemical composition Al2Be3[Si6O18]. The color of emerald, whose range extends from a dark blue-green to a light yellow-green, is caused by small impurities of chromium (Cr3+) and vanadium ions (V3+). As with the pure mineral beryl, emerald crystallizes in the hexagonal crystal system and typically forms hexagonal, prismatic to columnar crystals with a glassy luster on the surfaces. Its Mohs hardness of 7.5 to 8 is comparable to that of beryl. Shipping as insured registered mail.
