All auctions / Photographs / Emmy Andriessen - Amelandse, Walcheren (Toon Roose (links) en Kees Sloot)

• The photographer and the subject: This is an iconic image of the prominent Dutch photographer Emmy Andriesse (1914–1953), titled "Arnemuiden, Walcheren (Toon Rooze (left) and Kees Stroo)", photographed around 1951. • Provenance and edition: This is an official, posthumous silver gelatin print on warm-tone paper from 2004, issued by the Fotomuseum Den Haag. The print comes from a strictly limited edition of only 50 copies (this is number 7). • Documentation: The presence of the original Certificate of Authenticity, signed by conservator Wim van Sinderen, as well as the museum blind stamp on the photograph and the hand-numbering/signature on the reverse, are essential for value and authenticity. The original photograph of Emmy Andriesse was purchased by me at the Fotomuseum Den Haag.
