Made by Henry Matthews in Birmingham in 1905. Square with hinged cover and open bottom. Curved corners with leaf-mounted hoof supports. On cover top embossed angel’s heads after Joshua Reynolds’ painting from the late 1780s. Cover interior gilt washed. Red velvet lining. Fully marked. Very good condition. Dimensions: H 1 1/2 x W 2 1/4 x D 2 1/4 in. Gross weight: 1.8 troy ounces. #CD517
