English School, early 19th century A lurcher with a fox in an open landscape

oil on canvas, 102 x 128cm; framed 111 x 137cm, Condition Report, Condition Report, Relined. The canvas tension is a little loose to the touch. Craquelure and stretcher marks. There are several repaired tears which have been overpainted in the upper right. Surface dirt and discolouration. There is an area of abrasion and thinning to the paint on the dog's body, please refer to illustration. The work has a layer of glossy varnish.
