Enigme09 (1979) - Opium

There is no longer any revolution, only products. Where the great political battles failed to endure, the market has managed to impose itself as the single universal belief. Excellent frame with photomontage by the artist Enigme09 in spray technique (resold with its sprayed-painted frame) Title "Opium" Beautiful 33x24 cm ready-to-hang format Careful, clean, and fast shipping Magnificent work, unique approach, see photos Original digital artwork resulting from photomontage work and AI-assisted generation, printed on photographic paper (a unique approach by the artist since 2009) and finished with a single manual intervention in aerosol spray on the frame. Artwork delivered with its certificate of authenticity and the artist Enigme09’s appraisal Artist biography: Former tagger in the 1990s, Enigme09 discovered photomontage in 2009. The painter Jacques Monory confirmed him in the path he chose by suggesting a poetic approach to his art. His compositions combine elements from the advertising world or popular culture with others from the corpus of Art History. Their mixture is shocking, explosive, surprising, disturbing, but also invites reflection on the status of images and on a possible hierarchy of values between them. The artist manages to give meaning to familiar signs, emptied of content due to their over-familiarity. But, of course, this meaning is, most often, very far from their original signified. Enigme09 sums up his artistic creed in a pithy maxim: “give a voice to images to open our eyes.” Louis Doucet (art critic, collector of contemporary art and promoter of young creators and artists of our time.)
