Up for auction is the Guyana Enmore Blend 1988–1990 "Alpha" edition, bottled by independent bottler Jack Tar in collaboration with Project 1091. This exceptional 30-year-old Demerara rum is a vatting of three historic ex-bourbon casks: cask #42 (distilled in 1988), cask #40 (distilled in 1990), and cask #55 (distilled in 1990). Distilled on the legendary EHP Wooden Coffey Still at Enmore—the only working wooden column still on the planet—this expression combines both tropical and continental aging to achieve immense depth and balance. Bottled at natural cask strength of 51.6% ABV in August 2021, this release is limited to just 251 individually numbered bottles worldwide. Tasting Notes: Rich molasses, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, charred oak, dried stone fruits, vanilla, and subtle herbal spices, finishing long and warming with a delicate touch of smoke. Condition: Bottle, capsule, and label are in immaculate collector's condition.
