This painting presents a natural landscape with a serene appearance, dominated by dense vegetation that stretches along a damp or riverside area. In the center and at the bottom, grasses, herbs and small stems intermingle, emerging from the ground, while toward the background shrubs and branches of varying sizes accumulate. On the right, several light vertical forms recall slender trunks that delimit the space and provide a quiet structure to the composition. The landscape is not described with geographic precision; it seems more like an impression of a secluded corner, observed with attention and turned into a scene of great visual richness. The lower part is covered by greens, grays and ochres suggesting grass, damp earth and scattered reflections. The finer stems, some nearly vertical and others inclined, traverse this area and create a delicate rhythm in front of the dense mass of vegetation rising behind. There are small tonal changes that hint at leaves, low plants and irregular surfaces, as if the ground were covered by a variety of species. The eye discovers new details as it lingers on these small shapes, giving life and movement to a seemingly silent foreground. In the middle zone, the greens become deeper and cluster into large patches that evoke shrubs and thickets.
