This item is being sold accompanied by sales receipts from 2012. Erich Heckel was a German painter and printmaker, and a founding member of the group Die Brucke. The artists' group Die Brucke was established in 1905, a moment that is recognized as the birth of Expressionism. Acquired from Eastbourne Auctions, United Kingdom, 2012; Private collection, Massachusetts.
