Ernemann Kinostigmat 100mm Projector lens

Vintage Ernemann Kinostigmat 100mm Projection Lens – Dresden, c. 1920 Beautiful piece of early film history for the collector or the creative photographer! Offered is an authentic Heinrich Ernemann A.-G. Dresden "Kinostigmat" lens with a focal length of 100 mm. The Ernemann factory in Dresden was a true pioneer in the early cinema industry in the early 20th century (in 1926 it merged into the well-known Zeiss Ikon). This specific type of lens was used at the time in early professional film projectors. Today, creative photographers often adapt these lenses for use on modern mirrorless cameras, due to their unique character and the soft, dreamy background blur (bokeh) that cannot be replicated with modern lenses. Condition notes: The lens is about 100 years old and remains in a fully original, unrestored condition: • Housing: The brass shell has a vintage look with signs of aging such as some green oxidation spots on the metal. • Optics: The glass is surprisingly clear for its age. Under direct light there is a mild form of spotting on the inside of the front glass. No scratches or cracks. • Mechanics: Pure projection optics; the lens has no built-in diaphragm system and no own focusing ring. An interesting object for the vintage lens expert, a unique basis for a camera modification, or a beautiful historical showpiece for the display case! Please examine the (detail) photos carefully to form a good impression of the cosmetic and optical condition. Carefully packaged and insured shipping.
