Title: Plenamar ㅤ School: European Expressionist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Landscape Expressionism ㅤ Medium: Oil on panel ㅤ Condition: Good overall state of conservation, with signs of aging and wear appropriate to its age. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work is placed within the tradition of the European 20th-century expressionist landscape, with influences from those currents that used color, pictorial matter, and gestural brushwork as resources to convey the emotional intensity of nature. The vigorous treatment of the sea and sky, far from a strictly naturalistic representation, shows affinities with landscape expressionism and with certain derivations of European Post-Impressionism. ㅤ The composition depicts a sea scene at plenamar under a sky of strong atmospheric character. The horizon, located approximately in the central area, divides the scene between an extensive agitated maritime surface and a sky covered by large massed clouds. The yellowish light that penetrates the clouds creates a strong contrast with the predominant blue, greenish, and grayish tones. ㅤ The sea is executed with a paste-like, dynamic, and visible brushstroke, especially marked in the crests of the foreground waves. The whites, ochres, and yellows applied over the cool tones provide a sense of foam, movement, and luminous reflections. The pictorial matter thus takes on an important protagonism and reinforces the expressive and turbulent character of the scene. ㅤ The work is presented with a gilded frame of molded profile and classical aesthetics. Its aged finish and the small surface irregularities are coherent with its age and provide an ornamental contrast with the energetic brushwork of the painting. ㅤ Observations: Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by an extra charge due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions, or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge under any circumstances. ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border may be delayed much more than normal, so, if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the client can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, the order may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 27 × 35 cm Dimensions with frame: 36 × 43 cm
