Title: Multicolor Fields ㅤ School: European Fauvist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Landscape Fauvism ㅤ Technique: Oil on board ㅤ Condition: Generally good preservation state, with signs of age and use appropriate to its era. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work is inscribed within the European Fauvist tradition developed during the first half of the 20th century, with a conception of the landscape based on color freedom and an expressive brushwork distant from strictly naturalistic representation. Its execution shows affinities with the approaches derived from French Fauvism and with certain European post-impressionist currents, in which color takes on autonomous and emotional value. The simplification of forms, the use of greens, yellows, ochres and blues, and the vigorous treatment of the pictorial matter recall artists and followers influenced by the language developed by Henri Matisse, André Derain and Maurice de Vlaminck, later reinterpreted in various European circles. ㅤ A landscape with a strongly expressive character in which a countryside expanse is depicted, dominated by a mountain elevation that occupies much of the background of the composition. The scene is built through broad zones of color and energetic, visible and impasto strokes, which add texture and dynamism to the entire surface. ㅤ In the foreground there are masses of vegetation resolved through yellows, ochres, greens, oranges, grays and blacks, applied with spontaneous gesturality. The middle zone combines fields and trees with vertical brushstrokes and chromatic contrasts, while the distant mountain is defined through subdued greens and earthy tones under a pale blue sky with slight violet variations. ㅤ The composition gives greater importance to color sensation and the expressiveness of the brushstroke than to the descriptive precision of the landscape, generating an intense and subjective view of the natural environment characteristic of Fauvist and post-impressionist tendencies. ㅤ The work is presented framed. The frame consists of a wide dark brown molding, with gold profiles and a light inner reveal. The combination of dark tones, gold and ivory creates a classic contrast with the painting’s vivid chromatics. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. If so, we will require photographs of the imperfections to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, oversized dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will not be responsible for this surcharge in any case. ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border can be delayed much more than normal, so, if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the Customs number that is delaying the shipment so the customer can release it and reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, orders may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 35 × 38 cm Dimensions with frame: 41 × 44 cm
