Title: The Frigate ㅤ School: European Hyperrealist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Hyperrealism with marine-themed subjects ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ Condition: Good overall preservation state, with signs of age and use appropriate to its era. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work is part of the European marine painting tradition, reinterpreted through a hyperrealist language. The precision devoted to the sails, rigging, and the ship’s structure recalls the tradition of painters specialized in naval representations of the 19th and 20th centuries. The meticulous treatment of the vessel contrasts with a more dynamic, textural execution of the waves, combining descriptive detail with maritime drama. ㅤ The composition depicts a large multi-masted frigate sailing full sail on a violently agitated sea. The vessel occupies the core of the scene and appears slightly heeled, conveying the sensation of progress among the waves. The complex network of masts, braces and rigging is rendered with special attention to detail, while the sails, unfurled and taut from the wind, present ochre, beige, and brownish tones that add depth and volume. ㅤ The foreground is dominated by heavy surf executed with brushstrokes of whites, deep greens, grays, and bluish tones. The foamy crests and the light-dark contrasts emphasize the water’s movement and add drama to the navigation. The low horizon and the wide pale sky allow the silhouette of the frigate to take visual prominence. ㅤ The work is presented with a straight-edged wooden frame, simple profile, finished in a reddish-brown tone. Its sober design accompanies the marine theme without competing visually with the composition. ㅤ Observations: ㅤ The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the defects to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, exceeding measurements or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge under any circumstances. ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border may be delayed much more than normal, so, if possible to speed up processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unblock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, it is possible that the order may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order, please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 68 × 99 cm Dimensions with frame: 93 × 62 cm
