The precision given to the movement of the water, the foam and the rock formations recalls a contemporary interpretation of the marine painting tradition, aiming to convey both the power of the waves and the atmospheric effects of a coast under a stormy sky. ㅤ The composition depicts a rocky coastline lashed by rough seas. In the foreground, the waves crash forcefully against the rocks, developed with abundant whites and bluish tones that reproduce in detail the foam and movement of the water. In the background there is a rocky promontory partially covered with vegetation, against which the waves again break. The sky, dominated by grays and light tones, creates a damp and stormy atmosphere, while a diffused luminosity on the horizon lends depth to the scene.
