Title: Bavaria ㅤ School: Central European School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Alpine landscape Romanticism with realist influences ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas. ㅤ Status: Good overall apparent condition, with slight signs of aging and wear on the ornamental frame. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: Related work to the German and Austrian Romantic landscape tradition, developed during the 19th century and extended in Central European painting of the 20th century. The monumental representation of the mountains, the prominence of the forests, and the atmospheric treatment recall the approaches of Alpine landscape painting by artists such as Joseph Thoma and his contemporaries. Also evident are influences of Germanic landscape naturalism. ㅤ The composition represents a majestic Alpine landscape, with a lake of tranquil waters situated among imposing mountains with peaks partially snow-covered. ㅤ In the foreground appear rocks, wild vegetation, and different species of trees, highlighting tall firs that flank the surface of the water. The mountains rise in the background, showing a combination of gray, ochre, and whitish tones that evoke the rocky nature of the Alps. ㅤ The lake delicately reflects the mountain formations and the sky, creating a sense of depth and stillness. The subdued lighting and the slightly overcast atmosphere contribute to conveying the grandeur and serenity of the natural setting. ㅤ The artist combines a carefully structured composition with descriptive brushstrokes that allow distinguishing the different textures of the landscape, from rocks and vegetation to the water surfaces. ㅤ The work is presented with an elegant golden frame inspired by Baroque and Rococo, characterized by its undulating profiles, vegetal ornamentation in the corners, and carved decorative elements. Its considerable presence reinforces the classical character of the painting. ㅤ Observations: Alpine landscape inspired by the mountainous environments of Central Europe. ㅤ The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. If that happens, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptional shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge for reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions, or weight of the item. PremiArt in no case will cover this surcharge. ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border may be delayed much more than usual, so, if possible, to speed up processing we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the client can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 50.2 × 70.2 cm Dimensions with frame: 66.5 × 86.2 cm
