European school (XX) - Scène de bergerie aux moutons

Oil painting on panel: Shepherd scene with sheep, 20th century Charming oil painting on wood panel, depicting a rural life scene in the intimacy of a traditional sheepfold. This pretty composition features three sheep and a small lamb settled on a bed of straw, in a stable with exposed beams and wooden doors. The natural light entering through the openings gently illuminates the animals and reveals the details of their thick coats. The pictorial work is particularly interesting, with beautiful touches of texture, plays of shadow and light, and a palette of warm browns that give a lot of depth and character to the whole. This animal painting, probably made in the mid-20th century, in the 1950s to 1970s, sits within the tradition of pastoral scenes and rural painting. A work full of charm and authenticity, ideal for lovers of old paintings, animal art, and pastoral scenes. It will naturally find its place in a country house decor, a rustic interior, or an English cottage ambience. Painting signed bottom right, signature unidentified. Dimensions: 38 × 29 cm. Very good overall condition. Work sold without frame. Careful packing and shipping.
