Europhon - Adriano Rampoldi - Table lamp (2) - Idea - ABS - Idea Radio-Lamp

[RARO] Pair of desk radio-lamps with integrated AM radio, produced in the early 1970s by Europhon of Milan, on the iconic Adriano Rampoldi design. The lot represents a rarity; it is not a single piece, but a pair of cardinal red, combined with orange, from the 70s. The design blends with the practicality of a multi-object and the lighting creates a vintage atmosphere. The radio buttons (power, volume and tuning of the Medium Wave) are recessed into the base groove via two knurled wheels. The light has two intensities and is adjusted with the two frontal buttons. The radio, being AM, even though functional (crackles) is no longer able to tune into AM frequencies as they no longer broadcast. Characteristics: - Manufacturer: Europhon Milano (Made in Italy) - Designer: Adriano Rampoldi - Model: Cylindrical Lamp-Radio - Base in molded ABS plastic, joining ring in plastic and/or chrome-plated metal, upper diffuser in white opalescent Perspex/acrylic. Conservation and aesthetic status: Both lamps are in excellent general cosmetic condition, as can be seen in the images. The ABS plastics retain a vivid shine, no breakages, only a sign of wear at the base of one of the two. Some typical dome marks and small heat deformations caused by use of high-wattage bulbs; they support up to 30W (the ones for household ovens are the best). The central chrome ring is glossy and free of significant rust bloom. The lower selectors are original and intact and the power cables are original as well. Only a small screw-holding block is missing, located inside the dome. A truly beautiful pair and difficult to find in contemporaneous condition. All photos are explanatory and form an integral part of the lot. #Europhon, #AdrianoRampoldi, #SpaceAge, #Modernariato, #VintageLamp, #RadioLamp, #ItalianDesign, #70sDesign, #PopArt, #ABSPlastic, #Perspex, #MilanoDesign, #VintageRadio, #CollectibleRadio, #DesignCoppia, #BedsideLamps, #ArancioneSpaceAge, #RossoVintage, #LuceDesign, #PlasticDesign, #MadeInItaly, #CatawikiDesign, #InteriorDesign, #VintageElettronica, #AmbientLight, #RetroRadio, #AvantGarde, #Modernist, #MidCenturyModern, #RareSet,
