Beautiful lot consisting of three naturally iridescent ammonite fossils from Madagascar, with a combined weight of 107 g. Each specimen displays attractive natural flashes of red, orange, green, blue and pink, produced by the preserved nacreous shell layers. The colour changes depending on the angle of the light, giving the fossils a particularly striking appearance. The three ammonites have different shapes and preservation characteristics, making this a very decorative and varied small collection. Areas of the original matrix and natural fossilisation remain visible, adding character and authenticity to each specimen.
