This exceptional fluorite specimen from Madagascar displays an impressive variety of intensely green, partly transparent fluorite crystals. Large, robustly formed cubes alternate with dense areas of smaller crystals, giving the piece tremendous depth and structure. The special highlight is the light mineral bridge running freely over a hollow, over which a young generation of small green fluorite crystals has partially grown. The pale carrier mineral is presumably calcite. This unusual formation creates an almost architectural structure that clearly sets the piece apart from ordinary fluorite specimens. Metaphysically, green fluorite is associated with mental clarity, concentration, and inner order. It is said to help structure thoughts and open up new perspectives.
