Exceptional Sino-Tibetan Gilt Bronze Figure of Syamatara...

An impressive and finely cast Sino-Tibetan gilt-bronze figure depicting Green Tara (Syamatara), standing at a substantial 35.5 cm and weighing 8.3 kg. Dating to the Late Qing period (19th / Early 20th Century), this piece showcases masterly casting, a serene facial expression, rich iconographical detail, and documented auction provenance. Iconography & Design Pose & Gestures: Seated gracefully in lalitasana (royal ease) atop an elevated double-lotus pedestal (padmasana). Her right foot descends to rest on a small, blooming lotus footrest attached to the base. Her hands perform sacred mudras: the right extended in varada mudra (boon-granting and compassion), and the left raised in vitarka mudra (teaching and explanation).
