This Gobelin tapestry depicts a scene with strong aesthetic impact inspired by traditional Japanese imagery, built with a very refined balance between feminine elegance, nature, and seasonal symbolism. Scene composition At the center of the composition is an Asian female figure, portrayed facing forward but with the body slightly turned. The pose is composed and aristocratic: the hands gently hold a traditional Japanese umbrella (wagasa) opened behind her. The woman wears a long, flowing kimono in light, soft tones, enriched with delicate textile decorations and a bold red obi belt that introduces the main color contrast of the work.
