Exclusive set of petrified wood from Madagascar –...

This extraordinary petrified wood sphere set brings together three unique spheres that preserve the impressive beauty of ancient forests. Over millions of years, the original wood was replaced by mineral processes while its characteristic structures remained, resulting in fascinating color worlds of warm reds, golds, browns, creams, and burgundy tones that make each sphere a distinctive piece of natural art. The highly polished surface makes the striking grain patterns, natural layering, and organic drawings particularly vivid. Each sphere tells its own geological story and reveals new details and color nuances with every look. Each petrified wood sphere set is an absolute one-of-a-kind. Variations in color gradient, grain, mineral inclusions, and natural structures express the authenticity of the fossil wood and make every arrangement unique. Whether as an extraordinary collector’s item, stylish decor, or a special gift for fossil lovers, this petrified wood sphere set combines the power of nature, timeless elegance, and millions of years of Earth history in a fascinating form. The stands are NOT included. Stone: petrified wood Weight: 2300,44g Size: - Treatment: None Origin: Madagascar It is a fossil wood dating back 200 million years, all parts from a log or branches have been silicified, meaning that organic components were little by little replaced by silicon in the form of jasper, chalcedony and more rarely opal. Without the organic parts, all the living matter was replaced by stone: there are growth rings, cell separations, almost like worm cracks. Its features are those of the mineral that would have pseudo-transformed the wood: the silicon. And that’s what we call a "petrified wood" in the common language.
