The gentle radiance of aquamarine is the subject of numerous legends from classical antiquity: According to tradition, the gemstone is said to be able to appease Poseidon, the god of the sea. It is said that sailors once threw aquamarines overboard during violent storms to appease the raging fury of the sea god. Glistening and sparkling like the water of a luxurious swimming pool, the exquisite aquamarine in this ring—which was crafted in the 1960s—is a true masterpiece. The octagonal-faceted aquamarine, weighing approximately 7.60 ct, boasts an intense, vibrant colour with very good transparency and clarity; it is set in subtle chatons of high-karat white gold, creating a simple yet striking presentation. Twelve single cut diamonds on the ring shoulders add subtle accents of light to the design and enrich the piece of jewellery with their white radiance. This exquisite, handcrafted ring came to us from Hamburg. It was most likely crafted in Germany.
