This impressive natural agate obelisk from Madagascar captivates with an exceptionally versatile play of colors and a pattern that makes it a distinctive one-of-a-kind piece. Warm red, pink, ochre, and earth tones, and numerous small natural inclusions. This creates an almost abstract composition that recalls an artfully painted landscape. The meticulously polished surface beautifully showcases the different colors, structures, and depths of the agate. Depending on the viewing angle and the incidence of light, new details repeatedly come to light—from fine color veins and contrasting inclusions to transparent and densely textured portions. The clearly cut obelisk form adds an elegant, architectural presence to the stone and creates an exciting contrast to its completely natural drawing. It is precisely the extraordinary combination of different color tones that makes this specimen a special eye-catcher. No other piece has exactly this arrangement of colors, inclusions, and textures—a genuine piece of nature, which has been impressively set in scene by the high-quality craftsmanship. Whether as an exclusive collector’s piece, an extraordinary decorative object, or a representative focal point in a modern interior: this agate obelisk possesses a fascinating aura and combines the beauty of a natural material formed over millions of years with a timelessly elegant form.
