Faget-Firme - Beam scale (2) - Gilt brass

Kitchen set including a small Roberval balance (1 kg capacity) in cast iron with brass trays and a set of weights from the same series. The weights come from the house Faget-Firme, a famous Parisian manufacturer at the beginning of the 20th century. We have a beautiful, very decorative set. We are including a second balance from the Napoléon III era, ideal for collectors of scientific objects. This authentic Roberval balance, lacquered black wood with a white marble top plate, is accompanied by 5 sets of brass weights from the late 19th century, which is quite rare—to have so many of them. The balance is in good condition, just like the weights, with only a few signs of wear due to age. There is an imperial hallmark with a crown dating from the 19th century under Napoléon III.
