Falls City, Texas. $10 1929 Ty. 1. Fr. 1801-1. Falls City NB. Charter #8606. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 25. Settled by a significant number of Poles during the early 1900s, the recent history of Falls City was largely dominated by the discovery of a nearby uranium deposit which was mined and ultimately proved controversial in the 1970s. Yet to the numismatist with an interest in National Bank Notes, Falls City is a "one-bank town" where only a handful of surviving notes are recorded by the National Bank Note Census. This lot offers bidders the chance to consider one of only eight non-institutional notes recorded from here where this example stands as only the second of those eight to surface at auction since 2016 after another T1 $10 sold in our Summer 2026 Global Showcase Auction (Lot 21216) a few months back for $2,135. Here even circulation may be noticed in the company of distinct originality absent any noted impairments making this the perfect opportunity for the collector looking to represent this rare Karnes County charter in their own personal holdings. Estimate: $1,250 - $1,750. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.

Estimate:£560.64
