Description: Very beautiful and authentic marine lantern (position light or navigation light) in solid brass. This collectible item is equipped with its original thick-glass Fresnel lens, historically designed to amplify and diffuse light at great distance at sea. It bears on its base a brass authenticity plaque stamped with the name of the famous manufacturer of the French Navy: "OUVRARD & VILLARS - Société Anonyme - ST-OUEN". A superb piece of nautical antique, ideal for collectors of marine objects or to bring a refined industrial and historical touch to interior decor.
