"The Balance of the Soul" - Federico Alibrio In this evolution of the original 2019 work, Federico Alibrio crystallizes the paradox of existence into a formal synthesis of extraordinary visual power. A rhinoceros, the ultimate emblem of earthly materiality — heavy, armored, and bound by gravity — finds itself lifted in an impossible vertical dance. The miracle is performed by a butterfly, a universal symbol of spirituality, the psyche, and metamorphosis. The contrast between the bulk of the pachyderm and the delicacy of the insect's wings negates the laws of physics to make room for the laws of the spirit: matter is no longer a burden, but a mass tamed by the push of the soul. Reduced in size but amplified in meaning, the work reminds us that no matter how heavy our weight in the world is; there always exists a subtle, ethereal, and luminous force capable of elevating us upward. Key points of the sculpture: - Dualism: The contrast between the optical white and opaque of the rhinoceros (the purity of earthly matter) and the golden and gleaming details of the butterfly's wings (the light of the spirit). - Verticality: The pose defies inertia, representing the human aspiration to the divine. - Suspension: An eternal moment where brute force yields to grace. The Author's Seal: The Monogram To guarantee the artistic vision and originality of the project, the work bears Federico Alibrio's distinctive monogram. The symbol, which blends the artist's initials, is an integral part of the design and certifies that every phase of creation, from the original model to the final finish, took place under his strict aesthetic supervision. The artwork will be shipped with careful packaging and the corresponding certificate of authenticity. The Italian artist Federico Alibrio, born in 1995, is always seeking inspiration to grow through new experiences. Graduated in Sculpture in 2021 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, he works in sculpture and painting. He has participated and continues to participate in exhibitions and symposia of high cultural profile, demonstrating commitment and seriousness in approaching sculptural practice. Reality itself is the greatest source of inspiration. His passions are: wild animals (sensitive to endangered species) and trees. His aim is to showcase the beauty of nature.
