An Exceptional and Rare Pair of Mid-Century Armchairs by Federico MunariItaly, circa 1950sProvenance & Historical ContextWe are delighted to present this exquisite pair of original armchairs by Federico Munari, one of the most refined masters of post-war Italian furniture design. Operating at the very heart of the 1950s Milanese economic miracle, Munari brilliantly fused rigorous architectural poise with an exquisite sartorial soul. Renowned for their sinuous, enveloping contours and flawless geometry, his creations are highly coveted milestones sought after by international collectors and elite interior design firms worldwide.Fabric & Condition ReportThis particular set is distinguished by its original period damask velvet upholstery, showcasing a mesmerizing and rare silver-black hue. This archival fabric of sublime quality possesses a three-dimensional texture and silken luster that are entirely unobtainable on the contemporary market.Structural Integrity: The internal craftsmanship remains in excellent condition; the springing is superb, firm, and supportive—virtually as new.Condition Notes: The overall state of the velvet is extraordinary. We note only a very light, natural trace of wear on a section of the reverse side. This minor detail has been meticulously documented in our condition photography and remains completely imperceptible in the ensemble, fully preserving the charm and investment value of the pair.
