Federico Seneca - Buitoni pastina glutinata - 1970s

An absolute icon in the history of Italian poster advertising. This splendid poster celebrates the "Pastina Glutinata Buitoni", printed under license or reproduced in a later era (this is a 70s reissue), based on the legendary and revolutionary design signed by master Federico Seneca. Seneca, renowned art director of Perugina and creator of the famous labels for Baci, has managed to distill the essence of Futurism and geometric modernism into this anthropomorphic chef figure. With sinuous, almost sculptural lines, the chef holds a steaming dish, standing out against a bold color contrast on a dark background that gives the work enormous visual impact. The artist's signature is clearly visible in the lower right.
