Female nude, Signed Santiago de Santiago Hernández, Spanish School

Descriptio Bronze sculpture with a dark patina. Measures 28 x 55 x 17 cm. Nude female figure seated on a tree trunk, depicted with a serene and contemplative attitude, her head slightly raised and her anatomy stylized. The composition is notable for the verticality of the body, the elegant simplification of the forms, and the contrast between the smoothness of the nude figure and the rougher texture of the support. The patinated surface enhances the volumes and underscores a modern sensibility rooted in Symbolism and Classicism, characteristic of 20th-century Spanish sculpture, attentive to formal balance and idealized beauty. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
