That particular season marked a fundamental historical turning point: it was in 1992 that the long-standing technical partnership between the Maranello team and BBS began . In that year the Japanese company developed and forged for Ferrari the first competition wheels in forged magnesium in the history of Formula 1, a revolutionary technology for the era that guaranteed an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
