Elegant French mantel clock made in mercury-gilded bronze, with excellent chiseling and quality. The clock represents a typical image of the Allegory of Love, with a winged figure standing beside the dial that symbolizes the God of Love, holding an eternal flame in the hand. Beside it the arrows and the quiver. The dial is made in bronze and white enamel. Hands of the Breguet type, one is missing. The mechanism is original, with a corded pendulum and a key. The rest of the clock is filled with allusions to conjugal love and lovers. Very good quality.
