Large monkey (52 cm) on a horizontal bar from the 1960s/1970s. This monkey can rotate 360 degrees and the head can also be turned to the left and right. The monkey is a piece of timberwork and partly turned on a lathe. Possibly Danish and presumably from Scandinavia. The monkey and the bar are entirely made of wood. The body is teak, with limba wood and the rest pine (pine) and mahogany. All the wood has an aged color (patina). The monkey is unmarked and is not by Kay Bojesen but it does bear similarities to the famous Kay Bojesen monkey and to the monkey from the Zoo-line series. For comparison and to illustrate the size, see the last photo (the two small monkeys and soldiers in the background are not part of this lot!). Size: 52 cm (top of the bar) and 90 cm if the monkey is doing a handstand. Weight: 6 kg! Condition: in excellent vintage condition Shipping: registered, insured and with track & trace via PostNL
