Fine Quality Mahogany Obsidian Sphere Sphere - Height...

Mahogany obsidian is a special variant of obsidian, a natural volcanic glass formed by the rapid cooling of lava. What makes mahogany obsidian unique is its rich, dark color with warm, mahogany-tinted browns and reds. This variety often has a glossy surface and can also show iridescent effects when light hits it, giving it a striking appearance. The origin of mahogany obsidian lies mainly in volcanic regions where lava eruptions occurred. Important deposits include the United States, particularly areas such as the states of Oregon and Arizona, but other countries such as Mexico and Italy can also produce mahogany obsidian. Mahogany obsidian is often used for making jewelry, figurines, and decorative objects, where the unique color and luster come into their own. It is also valued in gemstone therapy due to the alleged energetic properties. The combination of aesthetic appeal and its rarity makes mahogany obsidian a sought-after choice for both collectors and jewelers. It will be sent by insured and registered mail.
