Fine set of Wilson family vintage horse racing silks

Fine set of Wilson family vintage horse racing silks, by Callaghan's of Dame Street, Dublin, comprising a white jacket with green sleeves and a red cap, very good condition These white, green & red colours were registered in the Racing Calendar to Mr Arthur Wilson, a Yorkshire shipping magnate and close friend of the Prince of Wales later Edward VII, who lived at Tranby Croft in the East Riding near Hull where he ran his business. In September 1890 Tranby Croft became the location for the Royal Baccarat Scandal - a high profile illegal card games gambling scandal of the day involving the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII).
