Finely Polished Golden Hematoid Quartz - Freeform...

Smooth and finely polished — This splendid specimen of Hematite Quartz presents itself as a free-form sculpture, expertly polished to enhance its intrinsic luster and chromatic beauty. The object draws attention with its intense tones ranging from golden orange to fiery red, created by hematite inclusions within the quartz crystal matrix. The flawless polishing emphasizes its transparency and depth, offering a magnificent play of light and reflections that vary with the viewing angle. The stripes and clouds of hematite, distributed in a fascinating way, create a dynamic and organic pattern, almost painterly, that makes every side of the specimen an artwork of nature. The elongated, sinuous drop shape, crafted with great care, harmonizes with any environment, from the most modern to the most classical, imparting a touch of elegance and refinement. Its smooth surface invites touch, making it pleasant to look at as well as to feel. Hematoid quartz, often also called strawberry quartz or red quartz, is a variety of quartz that contains hematite inclusions, an iron oxide. These inclusions can appear as tiny fibrous crystals, tufts, or earthy aggregates, giving the quartz its red, orange, or brown hues. The provenance of this mineral, Madagascar, is renowned for the quality and variety of its quartz, offering pieces of notable beauty and collectible interest. The geological formation of these quartz crystals is a millennia-old process in which silica-rich hydrothermal solutions and iron oxides infiltrate rock cavities, allowing the growth of quartz crystals that enclose hematite particles. This specimen is a tangible testament to the power and creativity of natural processes that shape our planet. An ideal piece for collectors, mineral enthusiasts, or simply for those who wish to enrich their space with a unique and highly impactful decorative element. The condition of the specimen is excellent. Any slight irregularities or color variations visible should be considered an integral part of its natural formation and not defects. The careful workmanship has preserved the mineral’s integrity to the highest degree, making it a precious piece for any collection. Its presence is striking and lends itself to being a focal point in any environment.
