A descriptive account of these Central American countries written by Agnes (Edwards) Pratt, who traveled in many of these places with her husband, Harry Rogers Pratt, a professor at the University of Virginia. There are chapters on: San Francisco, Baja California, Guatemala City, Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, the Canal Zone, Cartagena and more. The book is illustrated with photographs, many taken by Professor Pratt. A good copy with light wear and a tiny tear to the top of the spine. The text is good with light wear. There is some heavy foxing to the top of some of the book's pages, including the title page. Some of the photos are also foxed in the margin. There is an ink owner's name on a front blank. The jacket is good with some soiling and wear. There is some chipping to the spine tips and front panel edges and the rear panel lacks a piece in the upper left corner. The reverse side of the jacket has some foxing and spotting.
