[First Edition] Native Son Richard Wright [Used - Very good] [Hardcover]

I am pleased to offer a stated "First Edition" of Richard Wright's novel: "Native Son". This book is bound in a denin blue like cloth with white and red title panels on cover and spine. The book was published by Harper & Brothers of New York, dated 1940 and with "A-P" after the date (which as I understand it means that the book was printed in January 1940, or in other words, it must be the First Printing January 1940 of the First Edition as stated). Any other opinions, I would be happy to be corrected. It includes the short Introduction written by Dorothy Canfield Fisher. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers show some minor dust-dulling and a small amount of bumping to the corners and spine tips. The title panels are bright on both cover and spine (please see my photos). Inside, a former owner has left her carefully penned name and date. That is the only mark I found in the book and the interior pages are bright and clean throughout, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.

Estimate:£90.7
