FISCHER - BLÉRIOT TOY AIRPLANE - 1910-1920 - Germany, Heinrich Fischer A rare mechanical Blériot airplane with flapping wings made of lithographed sheet metal, depicting a monoplane, produced by Heinrich Fischer in Germany in the early 20th century. It features superb construction in polychrome lithographed sheet metal with a green openwork frame, red and yellow wings, a metal propeller, and a pilot in the cockpit. The design directly evokes the pioneering aircraft of the heroic aviation era of Louis Blériot. The airplane rests on a landing gear (minor restoration) with metal wheels and retains its original mechanism. It has a striking visual presence with an aesthetic typical of early German aviation toys. Dimensions: approx. 14 x 24 x 28 cm. As is; minor damage to the wheels.
